This wedding story is near and dear to my heart!
These two began their love story as high school staffers at Horton Haven Christian camp- while Sam was the horse wrangler, Bekah and I washed dishes in the kitchen. I got a front row seat to their little romance unfolding. every time the dishes were done, Bekah would race down to the horse barn and spend precious time with this cute boy from Alabama.
Camp conversations turned to sweet letters, letters to phone calls, phone calls to long distance relationship...and six years later, here we are! Everyone knew from that first summer that these two were destined to live a long, happy life together.
Bekah's details taste was impeccable. Soft mauves & blushes met maroon for the gowns & navy for the suits. A tasteful amount of greenery complimented it all and bridged the gap between autumn and summer.

Rebekah & Sam chose to do a first look- to get lots of extra portrait time, but most importantly to share a special moment together before the craziness of the day!
Their bridal party was so delightful- we all shared laughs and enjoyed the sunny day!

Sometimes you shoot beautiful venues, but sometimes you shoot beautiful venues that helped bring your own parents together.

This mid-century, former seminary chapel was purchased by the Bible college where my parents met. My father, an undergrad, was part of the moving crew.

This aisle holds the memory of many wedding promises; this chapel: the sounds of God’s precious Word echoing over and over. What a joy it was for me to capture a ceremony here. I’m so grateful!
.
Bonus fact; Rebekah's parents were the first couple to be wed in the Marble Chapel. Does it get any more sentimental?

We ventured to downtown Galena, Illinois for a beautiful reception & some just-married portraits!
Turner Hall, built in 1874, was the scenic old-theatre-turned venue for Rebekah & Sam's special day.
Dinner, cake, first dances and some classic partying made way for a night to remember. Sam even serenaded Bekah like he always used to do with  his guitar and kind voice. She definitely shed a tear or two! An ever so popular sparkler exit ended the evening as everyone sent the happy couple on their way to Cancun.
Congrats, Bekah & Sam- I love you both!
